Project team

The INTAR project team comprises the following people:

  • David McElvenny (Workspace Training) - lead writer and project manager
  • Kath Ware (Workspace Training) - instructional designer and graphic artist
  • Jim Vaughan (VCSS) - technical developer and programmer
  • Alex Vaughan (VCSS) - technical developer and voice-over narrator

Technical advisory group

The technical advisory group comprises TAFE teachers, product manufacturer staff members and industry experts. All TAFE institutes that deliver the Certificate III in Flooring Technology are involved in the trialling, reviewing and validation of the training resources.

The INTAR project team works closely with the National Flooring Trainers Network (NFTN) on the prioritisation and development of new resources. The NFTN also contributes funding towards the development work and liaises with other organisations to provide additional funding.

Photos and graphics

Most of the graphics throughout this resource were drawn by Kath Ware. Many of these are based on line drawings or photographs provided by manufacturers.

Site plans and other CAD drawings were provided by manufacturers.

Site photos were taken by David McElvenny unless otherwise acknowledged.

Content material

All content material was developed by Workspace Training unless otherwise acknowledged. The background reference materials have come from a wide range of sources, in particular from the training notes contributed by TAFE teachers around the country. Manufacturers’ installations guides and datasheets have also been extensively used.

The funding bodies and organisations that contributed to the development of the material are referenced on the Acknowledgements page of the print-based learner guide for each unit. In general, these organisations also share the copyright ownership in the print-based resources that they funded. The learner guide for each on-line unit is downloadable from the ‘Supporting resources’ webpage for that unit.
